As companies are looking to replace their existing ERP applications with more flexible and intuitive solutions, vendors need to acknowledge this shift in attitude and be able to show initial and long-term benefits in order to stay relevant in the market. According to the study, vendors are using three key strategies to retain customers while helping them to find ways to leverage more value from current and future investments: Cloud. By encouraging customers to move part or all of their existing ERP footprint to a cloud environment, vendors can lower total cost of management, guide customers on a path to better performance, and ease them into cohabitation (integrating cloud-native edge applications into their existing footprint).
